Privacy Policy

Cadence ("the App") is developed by Hyundoh Kim ("I", "me"). This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data.

Data Storage

All habit data, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your device. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync it through iCloud.

Apple Health

The App can read selected Apple Health data, and only after you grant permission in the iOS Health permission sheet. It reads only the data types you choose to link to a habit. Depending on what you link, Cadence may read activity, workout, mindfulness, sleep, water, caffeine, and time-in-daylight data, including steps, distances, flights climbed, active energy, exercise minutes, stand hours, workouts, and Activity ring completion. You can change or revoke that access at any time in the Health app.

The App never writes to Apple Health. Raw Health data is read and processed entirely on your device. It is never sent to me, and it is never used for advertising, marketing, or sold to anyone.

What the App keeps is the habit entry derived from that reading, for example whether a habit was met on a given day or the number it was measured at. Those derived entries live with the rest of your habit data and may sync through your private iCloud if you enable sync.

iCloud Sync

The App offers optional iCloud sync that you can enable at your discretion. When enabled, your data is stored in your own private iCloud container, managed by Apple. I do not have access to your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage.

Analytics and Tracking

The App does not collect analytics, usage data, or tracking information of any kind. There are no third-party analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no advertising frameworks.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit 2. Your purchase is verified on your device against Apple's receipt. There is no third-party purchase or subscription service involved, and I do not receive your name, email, or payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction.

Accounts and Servers

The App does not require account creation. There is no sign-up and no login. I do not operate an account system or data server. Your data is never sent to me. If you enable iCloud Sync, it is stored only in your private iCloud container managed by Apple.

Third-Party Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since the App does not collect any personal data, there is no data to collect from any user regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
